On April 9, 2020, an Express Entry draw was held in which 3,294 invitations to apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence were issued. These invitations were exclusive to the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates who had a CRS score of 464 and above. For foreign nationals, one of the criterias to be eligible for the CEC is to have a minimum of 1 year of work experience in Canada.
As most times, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied their tie break rule in this draw. This means that candidates should have had submitted their profiles before January 4, 2020, at 12:16:45 UTC to be eligible. Thus, all candidates with a CRS score of and above 464 who sent their profile in the Express Entry pool before the stated date and time, received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) by the government.
