Eligibility for Alberta Accelerated Tech Pathway

It is essential to note that to be eligible for the Alberta Accelerated Tech Pathway, you must have a current Express Entry profile. On the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scale, Express Entry profiles must have at least 300 points.

Alberta Employment or Job Offer

1. You must be employed full-time in Alberta in an eligible Alberta accelerated tech pathway job for an employer in an eligible tech industry.
2. You can also apply for Accelerated Tech Pathway if you have a full-time job offer in an eligible tech profession for an employer in an eligible industry.
3. You must submit all necessary documents with your applications to meet the criteria.
4. A full-time job of at least 30 hours per week for a minimum period of 12 months.
5. Your job location should be in Alberta.
6. Your base salary must meet Alberta’s provincial minimum wage or meet or exceed the lowest starting wage for occupations across all industries in Alberta.
7. Your primary occupation must match your job offer.
8. You must demonstrate your intention to live in Alberta.

How to Apply for the AAIP Accelerated Tech Pathway?

• To apply to the AAIP Accelerated Tech Pathway, you must first fill out the Accelerated Tech Pathway form.
• Submitting the form does not guarantee the ability to file an official application for provincial nomination. Instead, the AAIP will examine the information provided on the form and notify candidates through email if they are eligible to apply.
• The AAIP email will include application details and the next steps.
• The AAIP Accelerated Tech Pathway is designed to work in conjunction with the federal Express Entry system. This means that applicants who receive a provincial nomination through this stream will receive 600 points added to their Express Entry CRS score.
