Alberta Rural Renewal Stream

Alberta’s rural economic role goes beyond the conventional natural resource sectors such as oil, gas, forestry, and agriculture. The province’s rural areas have been witnessing a sharp economic rise, and it is intrinsically tied to urban Albertans. Alberta Rural Renewal Stream gives eligible and deserving candidates a beautiful opportunity to get permanent residence, work and settle in rural communities.

How Does AAIP Rural Renewal Progam Work?

AAIP rural renewal stream is designed to encourage immigration to smaller rural communities, which are called ‘designated communities’ for the Alberta Rural Renewal Stream. There are many opportunities in rural communities in Alberta, and the program encourages newcomers to settle in rural communities and actively participate in the development process of rural Alberta.

  • If you want to be a part of Alberta’s rural designated communities and settle in the province, first, you need a letter of endorsement from the community’s Economic Development Organization (EOD).
  • The Alberta Rural Renewal Stream comes under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), so an application must be submitted to the AAIP.
