Eligibility Requirements:

1. Acceptance in an IRCC Express Entry pool.
2. A permanent, full-time job offer from an authorised employer based in Newfoundland and Labrador.
3. A valid work permit.
4. An earned post-secondary degree or diploma.
5. Compliance with provincial employment terms and conditions.
6. Relevant work experience that meets the required criteria (depends on your profession).
7. Eligibility for provincial licensure or certification (if required).
8. A minimum score of 67 out of 100 points on the PNP Points Assessment Grid.
9. Appearance in a valid English or French language proficiency test. The minimum eligibility scores depend on the specific streams.

Application Procedure: If you meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned above, you may apply online using the province’s official website.

• Stage 1: Before applying, ensure a valid passport and work permit. Also, prepare your documents carefully before submitting your application.
• Stage 2: An interview is not mandatory, but you may be called for an interview after completing your online application.
• Stage 3: Your application is assessed by the provincial government, and if you are successful, you will receive a provincial nomination in the Express Entry System.
• Stage 4: You must accept your nomination in the Express Entry System to get 600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
• Stage 5: At this stage, you need to wait for the next Express Entry draw, and if selected, you will receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The NLPNP Skilled Worker category targets foreign skilled workers and students who could contribute to the Newfoundland and Labrador economy.

• Stage 3: Your application will be reviewed by an immigration officer, and after careful evaluation, you will be assigned to a delegated authority.
• Stage 4: You will be notified within 25 business days if your application is approved or rejected.
• Stage 5: If your application is approved, you can apply for permanent residence directly with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The NLPNP International Graduate Category targets international graduates who want to settle permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador province.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Age must be between 21 and 59 years.
2. Completion of at least half of your studies in Canada and holding a graduate degree from an authorised college or university.
3. Completion of a full-time two-year degree or diploma program.
4. A full-time job offer from an authorised employer in Newfoundland and Labrador.
5. A post-graduate work Permit from IRCC.
6. The necessary skills, training or accreditation your intended occupation demands.
7. Sufficient settlement funds to afford the cost of living, travel expenses, Federal Government Permanent Residence fee and other necessary expenses.
8. Appearance in a valid English or French language proficiency test. The minimum eligibility scores depend on the specific streams.

The International Entrepreneur Category targets foreign entrepreneurs with business and management experience to start a business in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Age must be between 21 and 59 years.
2. At least CAD $600,000 as your personal asset.
3. Meet English and French language proficiency requirements.
4. Have 72 out of 120 in the EOI point assessment grid.
5. At least CAD $200,000 for investment in your business with 33.3 per cent ownership.
6. At least two years of experience managing or owning a business. Or you must be employed as a senior manager in the last ten years.
7. A detailed business plan with appropriate documentation.
8. At least a high school diploma as your education qualification.
9. Intent to live permanently in the province.
10. An exploratory visit to the province before buying or starting a business.

Application Procedure

• Stage 1: Complete Expression of Interest (EOI) with appropriate information.
• Stage 2: After evaluation of your profile, the province’s immigration office will send you an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
• Stage 3: Submit your application with all documents, including a Review Engagement and Special Purpose Report.
• Stage 4: If your application is approved, you will be issued a provincial nomination to apply for permanent residence in Canada’s IRCC department.

• A Review Engagement is a review of your business financial statements.
• The Special Purpose Report outlines the viability of your business in Newfoundland and Labrador, recommendations to improve your business, financial challenges and a business review.

6. At least a year of experience managing a business in the province with a minimum of 33.3 per cent ownership.
7. Creation of at least one full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
8. A profit-making business.
