IRCC conducted its fourteenth Express Entry Draw in 2023, inviting a total of 4,800 candidates across all programs. To be eligible, candidates had to achieve a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 486. The Express Entry Latest Draw marked the first one in June, following the previous draw on May 24. The candidates from the CEC, FSWP, and FSTP programs were included in this draw.
In the May draw, 4,800 candidates were invited with a slightly higher CRS score requirement of 488. It’s worth noting that this score was higher compared to the April 26 draw, which had a minimum CRS score requirement of 483 for all programs.

The Latest Express Entry Pool Breakdown
As of June 8, 2023, the Express Entry Pool, managed by IRCC, consists of 222,166 candidates. These candidates are from the three primary economic immigration programs under the Express Entry system.

IRCC has recently introduced a new category-based selection for candidates in Express Entry programs. This announcement comes almost a year after the passing of Bill-C19 granting the immigration minister the authority to invite Express Entry candidates with specific attributes that support Canada’s economic goals. Do I still need an Express Entry profile if I work in one of the eligible occupations?
Yes, candidates must still meet the eligibility criteria for an Express Entry managed program. The eligible programs include the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
Will the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) no longer be considered in Express Entry?
The candidate’s CRS score will still be relevant for Express Entry draws. IRCC will continue to hold draws where candidates are invited without reference to the new categories. This can include all-program draws or program-specific draws.
