Why CRS Score is Still High in the Latest Express Entry Draw?

There must have been a massive number of new additions to the pool, resulting in the latest cut-off score dropping to 2 points. The Express Entry Pool Breakdown above shows the profiles in the 0-601+ and 501-600 range have increased significantly, which is why the cut-off score is still high.

Express Entry Targets: New Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025

IRCC will grant permanent residency status to 82,880 immigrants in 2023. The Express Entry Targets are 109,020 for 2024 and 114,000 for 2025, which is about one-fifth of Canada’s overall immigration targets. These goals demonstrate how crucial economic immigration is to Canada in light of the country’s persistent labour shortage. Up to 90% of Canada’s labour force growth and about 75% of population growth are attributed to immigration.
