On June 27, 2023, IRCC held the first ever Targeted Express Entry targeted for Healthcare professionals. A total of 500 candidates were invited to this draw. The minimum CRS score required was 476, 10 points lower than the last general Express Entry Draw held on June 27, 2023. This marks the first of such draws since the announcement of the six new categories on May 31, with even more opportunities on the horizon.
The second round of Targeted Express Entry Draw is scheduled for July 5 and will see an impressive 1,500 workers being invited to apply. But that’s not allābrace yourself for another draw in the same week, specifically targeting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions.

To be eligible for the occupation-specific categories, candidates must have a minimum of six months of continuous work experience in one of the listed occupations:
- French-language proficiency
- Healthcare Occupations
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) occupations

- Transport occupations (including Truck Drivers)
- Agriculture and agri-food occupations
