Prime Minister, Trudeau announced that the Canada-U.S. border will remain shut until July 21, 2020. The two countries have mutually agreed upon extending the border restrictions and eliminate non essential travel so as to contain the spread of COVID-19. Only individuals travelling for essential reasons related to critical infrastructure support, work, study or family reunifications as well as trade have been allowed to cross the border since March.
