OINP Human Capital Priorities (FSW): Application Process
The OINP Human Capital Priorities – FSW Candidates is an invitation-only stream in which you can apply via the following steps:
Step 1: Meet Eligibility Criteria Ensure you meet all the eligibility criteria of an Express Entry profile.
Step 2: Receive Notification of Interest (NOI). If the Ontario province selects you, you will be issued a Notification of Interest (NOI). Note that the province reviews the Express Entry profiles and issues an NOI only to select candidates. Hence, there is no assurance of receiving a Notification of Interest (NOI).
Step 3: Apply for Provincial Nomination Upon receiving the Notification of Interest (NOI), you can apply to the OINP for provincial nomination. For this, you need to follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Apply online via the OINP e-Filing Portal within 45 calendar days of receiving NOI.
- Pay the OINP application fee of $1,500 CAD.
Step 4: Approval Notification If your provincial nomination application is approved, Ontario will notify you via your IRCC online account.
Step 5: Accept Provincial Nomination Upon the approval of your provincial nomination, you will see an increase of 600 points in your CRS score. It virtually guarantees you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence, which will be finalized via Express Entry draw. Hence, it would help if you acted in the following way immediately:
- Upon receiving an ITA, submit an official application for permanent residency in Canada.
- Make sure to apply within the designated time.
Note: It takes up to 6 months to process the applications for permanent residence submitted via Express Entry.
