On February 15, 2023, IRCC held the second PNP-targeted Express Entry Draw, in which 699 candidates received invitations. The rank required to be invited to apply (ITA) was 791Â and the CRS Cut-Off Score for this draw was 791, 58 points more than the previous draw. Canada has already invited 15892Â Express Entry candidates in 2023.
The candidates received invitations through Provincial Nominee Programs aligned with Express Entry system. PNP-based Express Entry programs like EEBC help Canadian provinces attract suitable foreign workers to increase their population and meet their labour market goals. Except for Quebec and Nunavut, most of Canada’s provinces and territories have PNPs in line with Express Entry.
Around 240,264 Express Entry Profiles are in the pool as of February 1, 2023.

Why CRS Cut-off Score is So High?
The latest CRS Cut-off Score for FSW candidates was 489 in the previous FSWP Only Draw. The CRS Cut-off Scores of PNP-based Express Entry draws are generally higher in the 600-1200 range because the candidates get up to 600 additional points when they apply for any Express Entry PNP.
The CRS cut-off score might drop below 489 in the next FSW Draw. The Next Express Entry is expected to happen on February 16, 2023, with a draw size of 3,300 invitations.
Many candidates with low CRS scores are also expecting Occupation-based Express Entry draws. IRCC recently mentioned that targeted Express Entry draws could start in the spring of 2023, most likely in March.
