It’s time to change the clocks one hour forward this weekend, as daylight time begins.
Daylight time is the practice of advancing clocks during warmer months so that darkness falls later each day according to the clock. The typical implementation of DST is to set clocks forward by one hour in the spring and set clocks back by one hour in autumn to return to standard time.
Daylight time in B.C. begins at 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2020 and ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2020. The shift will essentially make it darker in the early morning hours, while leaving one extra hour of light in the evening. It also means that March 8 will only be 23 hours long, and you’ll lose sleep if you have fixed times for waking up on the weekend.
P.S.- Don’t forget to adjust your clocks by moving them one hour forward.
