BC PNP Latest Targeted Draw

It is worth noting that the province of British Columbia regularly conducts targeted draws for candidates who meet specific in-demand National Occupational Classifications (NOCs) standards. These targeted draws are typically focused on key sectors such as technology, healthcare, and other priority occupations in the province.

In contrast to general draws, targeted draws may require lower SIRS scores. For instance, this week, candidates with SIRS scores of 60 were invited to apply under each targeted category. The following applicants were invited to apply under the intended targeted draws:

6Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes EEBC option)60Healthcare

This highlights the province’s efforts to attract skilled workers to fill critical roles in priority sectors. By issuing targeted draws, British Columbia can identify and invite candidates who possess the skills and experience necessary to support the province’s economic growth and development.

BC PNP Skills Immigration Categories

The Skills Immigration Stream of the BC PNP program provides high-skilled foreign employees with an opportunity to work and live in British Columbia. This program regularly accepts applications from skilled workers who possess the necessary skills and experience to contribute to the province’s economy and labor market.

Under the Skills Immigration Stream, the BC PNP offers several categories to applicants, including:

BC PNP Skilled Worker: This category is for skilled workers who have received a job offer in a skilled occupation in British Columbia.

BC PNP Health Authority: This category is designed for physicians, nurses, psychiatric nurses, and allied health professionals with job offers in eligible healthcare occupations in British Columbia.

BC PNP International Graduate: This category is for recent graduates from eligible Canadian post-secondary institutions who have received a job offer in a skilled occupation in British Columbia.

BC PNP International Post-Graduate: This category is for graduates who have completed a Master’s or Doctoral degree in natural, applied, or health sciences from an eligible British Columbia institution.

BC PNP Semi-Skilled: This category is for workers in certain entry-level or semi-skilled positions in tourism/hospitality, food processing, and long-haul trucking, among other industries.

These categories offer a range of options for skilled foreign workers to find employment and settle in British Columbia. The Skills Immigration Stream is a vital pathway for these high-skilled employees to contribute to the province’s economy and build their future in Canada.

What is Express Entry BC Stream?

The province of British Columbia has a close partnership with the Government of Canada’s Express Entry system and actively searches the Express Entry pool to identify candidates who may be eligible for one of the Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams. This partnership allows the province to regularly welcome foreign workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs through the BC PNP program.

The EEBC stream is designed to support the province’s economic and labor market priorities by attracting high-skilled workers who have the potential to integrate well into the province’s communities and contribute to its economy. Applicants who are selected for the EEBC stream receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, which significantly increases their chances of being invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
